Do you need to compose some music to convey a sense of boisterous fun? Well, nothing says “high jinks” like a spirited marimba run, played with rubber mallets! This sound font will provide just that. Each note over the range of the instrument has it’s own sample and it’s all packaged up in SF2 format that can be played by a number of freely available sound font DAW plug-ins. (I use the sforzando VST from Plogue.)
The sound font takes advantage of the great work done by the Electronic Music Studio at the University of Iowa. Take a listen to Flight of the Bumblebee by Nikolai Andreyevich Rimsky-Korsakov. Accompanying the marimba sound is the Spitfire LABS soft piano patch.
